John Atwell Obituary

John K. Atwell Petoskey Formerly of DeWitt, MI John K. Atwell, 60, of Petoskey, MI, formerly of DeWitt, passed away on December 13, 2010. He was born April 7, 1950 in Lansing, son to Kenneth Atwell and Betty Perkins. John was employed as Project Manager for Demmer Corp.; was an avid outdoorsman, and loved to play euchre. He is survived by his daughter, Nickie Atwell of Maryville, TN, grandson Austyn Johns of Bainbridge, GA; brother James (Darcel) Atwell of Romulus, MI, and special friend Joanne Beckwith of Grand Ledge. He was predeceased by his parents and sisters Jan Lasley and Judy Atwell. Funeral services will be held at the Peters & Murray Funeral Home in Grand Ledge on Sunday, December 19th - 2:00 p.m., with visitations to begin at 12 noon until service time. In lieu of flowers, contributions made to the American Heart Assoc. or the American Cancer Society will be greatly appreciated. Online condolences may be made at www.petersandmurrayfuneralhome.com.
