My heart is broken. Joe has meant so much to me. I will forever remember our last conversation. You loved your family so much and were so blessed with 2 beautiful daughters, son-in-laws and grandchildren. We talked about the past and the what-might-have been. Our last words to each other were, I Love You, and I am at peace with those final words. I don't know how to say goodbye to someone I've known and loved for over 35 years. You are forever in my heart.

It was amazing to see all of the people that turned out to be with our family in our time of loss. Joe touched so many people's lives, and none of us will be the same without him here. He is watching over us now, and is keeping a close eye on his grandbabies. I lost a wonderful uncle, but I take comfort in the memories that we have shared as a family.

I want to send my love to my nieces Jocelyn and Jonell. I am so sorry that I live so far away from you both and cannot say goodbye to Joe. He was a sweet, sweet man and a wonderful brother in law to me. I will never forget the first year that I lived on my own after high school, my car was always breaking down and he would always come to the rescue to pick me up.He even came over in the middle of the night one time to take me to the emergency room when I had strep throat and could not swallow. He never complained (except maybe to your mom). Please know that even thought I am far away, I love you both and you are in my prayers. Haley and Alex also are very saddened by the loss of their "Uncle Joe."

Jody was always a nice kid and grew up to be a nice guy who will be missed. My heart aches for Tava and Bill, Cindy, Scott, Amy, Joselyn and Jonell. It's not natural for him to be gone at such a young age with so much to live for. While I can't be there, please know that I'm with you in spirit and send deep sympathy. Even though I'm 700 miles away, if there's anything I can do, just call. Love always, Wanda

I was devastated to learn of Joe's death. Joe was one of my oldest and closest friends, from first meeting him in Mrs. Hunt's class at Northwest through his marriage to my sister Tonya. I will miss him and my prayers are with his daughters and my nieces. Joe was a very good man, never shirked a chance to do a favor and never missed a chance to be a father to his girls. I'll miss you Joe.

Joe will always be in our hearts. He was the best neighbor that anyone could ask for. He was there if we needed anything at anytime of day. The boys will always remember fishing with Joe and spending time just hanging out on his deck or boat. Pleasant Lake lake will never be the same. He will be missed by many.

Our very deepest sympathy goes to Joe's family. We will always remember his kindness and willingness to help when ever needed; he could never say no, even when his health wasn't well. The many memories of the good times we will cherish; the wonderful times we had with him at the lake will stay with us forever. We enjoyed every moment spent with him. He will missed emensly. Love you Joe. John and Dora.

Dear family and friends,
Jonelle and I will have a video camera set up at the celebration of life dinner for my dad. It will be in a separate room for privacy. We would love to have your personal stories, memories, and feelings about dad so that we can keep him alive for ourselves and so that his grandchildren will know the type of man he was. Printed thoughts would also be nice, if your uncomfortable with the camera. We are completely shocked and devastated by this and would greatly appreciate your love and prayers at this time. Thank you.
