Lena Adams Obituary

Lena Adams Eagle Age 90, passed away August 31, 2010 at her home. She was born in Grand Ledge, MI, November 24, 1919, to the late George and Mary (Newman) Legal. Lena was a long time member of St. Michael Catholic Church. She loved cats, enjoyed watching birds and doing crafts. Her pride and joy was her family. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Bernard; daughters, Nancy (Richard) Campbell of Eagle, Sue Vandegriff of Grand Ledge, and Michelle (Ross Cortright) Adams of Grand Ledge; 9 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; sisters, Rose Holland of Texas, Matilda Kollman of Grand Ledge, and Jean (Robert) Tomlinson of Eagle; brother, Jim (Bonnie) Legal of Grand Ledge; and several nieces and nephews. Lena was preceded in death by sons, Richard and Larry. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, September 4, 2010, 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church, Interment will follow at North Eagle Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday 6-8 p.m. at Holihan-Atkin Funeral Home Grand Ledge, Vigil 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Capital Area Humane Society 7095 W.
