Lorraine Miller Obituary

Lorraine Miller Mendon Lorraine Miller, age 88, formerly of Lansing, died Monday Dec. 27, 2010 at Riverview Manor in Three Rivers. She was born in Durand, MI on Jan. 11, 1922 the daughter of Roy and Grace (Walch) Lennon. Lorraine was married to Fred C. Miller on July 26, 1941 in Lansing. She was a homemaker, and had been employed at Aurbaugh's Department Store in Lansing and the Estes Leadley Funeral Home as a secretary. She enjoyed working in her yard, flower gardening, crossword puzzles, and crocheting. She has been a resident of Mendon the past 10 years coming from Portland. Lorraine is survived by 2 daughters Pat (Ron) Weinberg of Mendon and Jill (Glen) Whitaker of Eaton Rapids; a son, Fred M. (Jeanette) Miller of Stanton; 6 grandchildren, Sheli Cupp, Troy Weinberg, Scott Miller, Jeff Miller, Steven Miller, and Allen Starr; 2 step-grandchildren, Missy Leonard and Kyle Volk; 11 great-grandchildren; and 5 step-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, Tom Lennon; and a sister, Louise Ives. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Eickhoff Funeral Home in Mendon. Services will be 11:15 a.m. Friday Dec. 31, 2010 in the Chapel at Deepdale Cemetery, 4110 Lansing Road, Lansing, MI. The family will receive friends at the cemetery chapel on Friday from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. Memorials may be directed to your local Salvation Army.
