Hello,
We apologize for being so late in expressing our deepest condolences to you and your family. We want you to know that we will be sending Care Packages to deployed troops this week and several of these will be dedicated to your loved one. Each package will carry the name, photo, service branch, rank and hometown of Lucas Tyler Beachnaw US Army Sergeant.
We realize that this is a small tribute, but we do this with all respect and sincerity and we want you to know that it is made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals from across the American youth hockey community, their families, friends and others who support our mission.
We will not forget. May God Bless you and keep you safe and strong.
Sincerely,

Always think of you this time of year and now have changed the sorrow I always felt to joy that I will one day meet you in Heaven and get to give thanks to you for your service. My family is blessed to have had your comrade Joshua Powers returned to us from that deployment and he taught us what it means to lose a friend in battle. His pain brought me to believe, have Faith and seek salvation thru our Lord Jesus Christ. See you on the other side. John 15:13.

To the parents and family of Sgt. Lucas Beachnaw. No one can ever understand or feel the pain and the loss you have after losing a son and a brave young soldier. As a former soldier of the 173rd during the Viet Nam war I can understand your loss of your brave soldier. Dear Jeanne
You are in my prayers and thoughts today as you relive one of the worst events a parent has, the loss of a child. Lucas is a "HERO". "He Will Not Be Forgotten". As we learn to adjust to the pain of losing our sons, we cherish our memories and try to find a new normal, until we see them again.
God Bless you and your family.

Prayer for Peace
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace;
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
And where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master,
Grant that I way not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
To be understood, as to understand;
To be loved, as to love;
For it is in giving that we receive,
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
And it is in dying that that we are born to eternal life.
Amen

What a handsome young man Lucas was, I am so sad for his sudden death. Please take comfort in the thought at Psalms 34:18-"God is near to those that are broken at heart, and those who are crushed in spirit he saves".
You can feel that Death can leave a heartache that nothing can heal, just know that Love can leave a memory that no one can steal.

For you every single soldier
Those who served so honorable
Your life was forever altered
While I’m home safe and free
I stand with grateful admiration
I stand respectful and so proud
I know I’m only a civilian
And I don’t even know if it’s allowed
But I salute you; allow me the honor
to salute you with permission let me say
Even though I hold no rank know that from my heart
My humble gratitude comes from the deepest part.
I salute you.
For those missing in action;
for those who didn’t make it home.
I know you’re in God’s presence you are not alone.
For every neatly folded flag;
for every shattered family
I will do the only thing I know to dignify your memory.
I salute you, allow me the honor
to salute you with permission let me say
even though I hold no rank know that from my heart
my humble gratitude comes from the deepest part.
I salute you .

My heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Sgt. Lucas Beachnaw. I sit here with tears in my eyes after reading about Lucas and his life, family and friends. I wish I could have met him. He sounds like a fine young man any family would be proud to call their own. He will never be gone or forgotten because he is loved and a hero who will remain in our thoughts and memories forever. I lost my own son (PFC Joseph Miracle), who was KIA in Afganistan on July 5, 2007. He was 22. He was in the same 173rd Airborne unit as Lucas. Both paid the ultimate sacrifice for our country and the ideal of freedom and justice for all people, wherever they may be. They will forever be our heroes and never forgotten. God bless you family. How small our world becomes when God puts into motion His Plan to cross our paths with those whom He knows will need our prayers...our open arms...and OUR tears to fall along with their own on the unbearable path in the loss of precious Lucas. We want you all to know that when we heard the news of Lucas' passing, a piece of our hearts went with him to heaven! This can and most certainly MUST be said of Sgt.Lucas Tyler Beachnaw,his comrades who gave their lives on January 13,2010 and all of our soldier's who lay their lives on the line as Lucas' "brothers in combat" said of him,"Without Fear". We thank you for your unselfish gift Lucas,"YOUR LIFE" given without pause. "NO GREATER LOVE THAN THIS...THAT HE LAY DOWN HIS LIFE FOR HIS FRIEND." We ask so much of these young men and give them nothing in return. We cannot be honest with ourselves because then we would have to admit that they deserve more than we can ever repay while we do not deserve a fraction of what they sacrifice. America is a lesser place today because one of its finest is gone. We grieve his passing.
