Hello,
We apologize for being so late in expressing our deepest condolences to you and your family. We want you to know that we will be sending Care Packages to deployed troops this week and several of these will be dedicated to your loved one. Each package will carry the name, photo, service branch, rank and hometown of Lucas Tyler Beachnaw US Army Sergeant.
We realize that this is a small tribute, but we do this with all respect and sincerity and we want you to know that it is made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals from across the American youth hockey community, their families, friends and others who support our mission.

Always think of you this time of year and now have changed the sorrow I always felt to joy that I will one day meet you in Heaven and get to give thanks to you for your service. My family is blessed to have had your comrade Joshua Powers returned to us from that deployment and he taught us what it means to lose a friend in battle. As a former soldier of the 173rd during the Viet Nam war I can understand your loss of your brave soldier. You should know that to his comrades and friends his name will live forever and he will always be known as a hero in the annals of military history.

What a handsome young man Lucas was, I am so sad for his sudden death. Please take comfort in the thought at Psalms 34:18-"God is near to those that are broken at heart, and those who are crushed in spirit he saves".
You can feel that Death can leave a heartache that nothing can heal, just know that Love can leave a memory that no one can steal.

My heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Sgt. Lucas Beachnaw. I sit here with tears in my eyes after reading about Lucas and his life, family and friends. I wish I could have met him. He sounds like a fine young man any family would be proud to call their own. He will never be gone or forgotten because he is loved and a hero who will remain in our thoughts and memories forever. I lost my own son (PFC Joseph Miracle), who was KIA in Afganistan on July 5, 2007. He was 22. He was in the same 173rd Airborne unit as Lucas. Both paid the ultimate sacrifice for our country and the ideal of freedom and justice for all people, wherever they may be. They will forever be our heroes and never forgotten. God bless you family. I did not attend his services, but I did what I could to support his family. The world is a better place for having him in it-thank you for sharing him with us.

Having a son of 23 myself and he prouldly wears the uniform of the United States Air Force as 2 generations did before him, I am proud of your son for his willingness to raise his right hand, to support and defend the consitution of the United States against all enemies foriegn and domestic and to bear true faith and alligence to the same. We ask so much of these young men and give them nothing in return. I didn't know Sgt. Lucas Tyler Beachnaw.. But would like to express my sincere condolences to his Family. I am so sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry for your loss. Please know though I don't know you or your son personally your family will be in my prayers. With many friends in Afghanistan I am always worried and always praying. Your son/brother/uncle/cousin/nephew/friend will always be remembered and we will always be thankful for his service to our country. God bless you all...until you see him again.
