Marjorie Cornell Obituary

Marjorie J. Cornell Lansing Age 78, died July 11, 2010; born October 12, 1931 in Harrison, Michigan. Mrs. Cornell volunteered for the American Red Cross and Mt. Hope United Methodist Church. She was fondly referred as the "The Cookie Lady". She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Cornell and her parents. Surviving are her son, William (Kathy) Cornell; daughter, Susan (Dana) Chambers; 4 grandchildren, Lindsay Gross, Aaron Simmons, Addam (Naomi) Simmons and Kalee Simmons; 1 great-granddaughter, Elyssa Simmons. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, July 14, 2:00 p.m. at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Avenue, Lansing with Pastor Bill Haggard of Mt. Hope United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Lansing. The family will receive friends at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Lansing Chapel Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. On line condolences may be sent to www.gorslineruncimanlansing.com
