Martha A. Pease

Martha A. Pease St. Johns Martha A. Pease passed away October 27, 2010, in Ovid, Michigan at the age of 91. Born in Alto, Michigan on November 27, 1918, she was the daughter of Elmer and Cora (Harris) Weir. Martha was a clerk Nick's Fruit Market, and she was also a past member of the Houghton Lake Association. She married Harold L. Pease in Lansing, MI, on May 23, 1936, and he preceded her in death on January 30, 2006. Surviving Martha are her three sons, Harold D. (Susan) Pease of Ovid, Richard (Diane) Pease of DeWitt and Roger (Sharon) Pease of Arizona; 19 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren. Martha is also survived by sister, Tressa Cornell of Owosso, and brothers, Elmer Weir and James Weir, both of Grand Ledge, and Eldon "Bud" Weir, of Lansing. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by grandchildren, Michael and Miriah Pease; great granddaughter, Valerie Pease; sisters Ruth Morgridge, Lila Lumbert, Orselia Matz; and brother Sidney Weir. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 1, 2010, at the Osgood Funeral Home, with Pastor Audie Clairmont officiating. The family will receive friends at the Osgood Funeral Home, 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, and 2-4 p.m. on Sunday.
