Marvin Fedewa Obituary

Marvin Stanley Fedewa Portland Age 78, passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2009. He was born on March 4, 1931 the son of Marcellus and Leona (Pung) Fedewa. Marvin was a family man first and then farmer. He worked at Motor Wheel and at T.R.W. as a supervisor. He especially enjoyed their cottage at Morrison Lake and traveling during the winter. Marvin was instrumental in the formation of the Fr. Flohe Foundation at St. Patrick Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert. On September 26, 1951 he married his wife, Janet and she survives. Also surviving are his children, Gary (Janet) Fedewa, Dan (Linda) Fedewa, Tony (Deb) Fedewa, Ann (Harold) Bouma, Marlene (Clint) Thomas, Jane (Dan) Schafer, Judy (John) Piasecki, Laura (Dan) Price, Marie (Bob) Schafer, Mark (Paula) Fedewa, Stan (Nancy) Fedewa, Dale (Mary) Fedewa, Connie (Bill) Vallier, and Carol (Don) Gunderman; 40 grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Bernita Pohl, Anna Thelen, Agnes Schneider, Mary Simon; and many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christain Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 25, 2009 at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Rev. Larry King, presiding. Rite of Committal will follow at Portland Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday 1-4 and 6-9 p.m. at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge St., Portland. The rosaries will be prayed at 4 and 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Fr. Flohe Foundation in memory of Marvin.
