Mary Sosnowski Obituary

Mary Ann Sosnowski Lansing Age 84, passed away June 27, 2010 at Eaton Community Hospice surrounded by her loving family. Mary Ann was born June 23, 1926 in Lansing, the daughter of Andrew and Anna (Peters) Hefton. In her early years, she volunteered with the Red Cross while she raised her family. She gained the most enjoyment in life being with her family. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband, William; brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Vi Hefton; and son-in-law, Jeff Atanasoff. Surviving are her 7 children, Susan Elder, Barb (Tom) Gage, Kathy Atanasoff, Julie (Jerry) Blake, Stan (Janet) Sosnowski, Mary Lou (Larry) Estfan and John (fiance', Nicki Taylor) Sosnowski; 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Alice Carr; several nieces and nephews also survive. A Funeral Liturgy will be held Thursday, 11:00 a.m. at the Palmer, Bush and Jensen Family Funeral Homes, Lansing Chapel with Rev. Fr. John Byers officiating. Interment will follow at Deepdale Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. at the Funeral Home. For those wishing, memorial contributions may be made to the Capital Area Humane Society or a charity of one's choice. Friends may sign the online guest book at www.palmerbush.com.
