Ray was a fine man and a true gentleman. I especially remember the first time we met 40+ years ago. I was a new veterinarian, just out of school, still wet behind the ears, and half scared to death, having made only a few calls on my own. He essentially told me that he was glad to have someone with up to date knowledge and he was not worried about the lack of experience. He made me feel welcome and I have never forgotten. You have my sympathy.

Dear Mary and Family,
So sorry to read of your father's passing. I have fond memories of both your mother and father while we were in college and visiting the farm. I had lost track of you and Barry, and unfortunately came upon this news over the weekend. I know this is a difficult time, and I will keep you all in my prayers. David and I are still in Nashville and would love to hear from you sometime. Give us a call or contact us any time. We'd love to catch up. We'll be thinking of you in the days ahead.
With love - Terri and David Thrun (Nashville, Michigan)

UNCLE RAY WAS A GREAT GUY. HE ALWAYS GAVE ME THE GREATEST HUGS. EVEN THOUGH I DIDNT GET TO SEE HIM ALOT, HE ALWAYS A HAD A LITTLE JOKE AND A SMILE FOR ME. I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER HIM WITH THAT SMILE IN MY HEART
