He was a well respected, retired Sheet Metal Worker and Business Manager for local #7 out of Lansing, MI. He is preceded in death by his parents, Wanda Smith and Abbott Fuller; step father, Eldon 'Smitty'. I knew "Rich" when I was 13 and up through High School. He was our paper boy. And I was in love with him. I lived on Cavanaugh and he lived on Grahm. It has been a long time since I've seen Rich or even talked to him. I've lived in Chicago for over 20 years. The time we were friends was a great time in my life. I can only imagine what a wonderful person he turned out to be. Rich, you've always had a place in my heart. You will be missed.

As I sit here trying to think of something to write,my mind is flooded with memories of riding motocross ,ice racing, bench racing and listening to music with Butch.
Memories of stories my brother Jim used to tell me about butch and jim getting in trouble at school and around the old neighborhood.
Unfortunately in my adult years, I did not see Butch that often, but whenever I did he always brought a smile to my face. whether it was talking about the old days or some new story he had to tell. He will be greatly missed, but he will live on forever in our hearts and those great memories.
Godspeed my friend

Sam, Debbie, Shelly, and Kelly. I have so many fond memories of Butch. He was the kindest man I know. He would call me at the office and tease me about being his favorite insurance lady. We would talk for 40 minutes and the whole time I was laughing every minute. He always made me laugh. I will miss him dearly and my thoughts are with all of you. He was a great great man.

Butch and I met in high school and shared some really good times. If I could only remember one thing about Butch it would be that he was the kind of friend you could always count on to be there in times of need.
To the Fuller family please accept my sincerest sympathy.

Butch was definitely one of a kind. He will be missed by many but will also be fondly remembered. Easy going, friendly and always willing to help out his fellow man. He and I were both diagnosed with cancer at about the same time. But rather than dwell on his own problems, he kept saying how bad he felt for me and that he prayed for me every day. That was Butch, always thinking about the other guy. I'll miss him dearly.

Sam, Deb, Shelly, Mark, Janet, Hack and all of the grandkids,
It is so hard to put into words what Butch meant to this family. He will always be missed and in our hearts. We will always remember his singing at the campfire and Hardy Party. Whenever we sit by a fire we will hear him tell his life stories and sing his favorite songs. Boating and camping will never be the same. He was always there when ever someone called. We all learned something from his generous heart.
Our prayers and thoughts are with you and your family.
God Bless

Butchie,

I sit here Sunday morning reminising about the friends I have lost in the last two years, each one just as sad and hurtful. But at the same time a smile comes to my face as I think of the great times, whether golfing, boating, camping, horseshoeing, pool, politic's, etc that we have all shared together through the years. Chuck and I loved when you use to hide your key to the house and we could always find it 5 minutes or less. I'll remember the cheap shot golf league championship matches that you and I played against each other, and you always had the one shot that would ricochet off a tree onto the green for a birdie, you were lucky but you made your own luck. We will miss you on this rock, but there is another place now that will enjoy the mystique of "butchie". It will only be a matter of time (hopefully a long time) before we are all together again sharing our practical jokes and love. Love Arnold!!!!

To Sam, Janet, Shelly, Kelly, and family,

We will all miss butch tremendously but there will be times where we are passing a northern lake, throwing a horseshoe, or sitting around a camp fire and Butch will pop into our heads and we will smile or even maybe laugh out loud because that is how Butch would have wanted it. He was a great person, friend, dad, etc. and we all loved him!!!!!!

With Love
