Robert Richards Obituary

Robert E. Richards Lakeland, FL Mr. Robert E. Richards, age 85, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2009 from heart failure. Born on November 10, 1923 in Blue Island, IL, he moved to Lakeland in 1986 from Lansing, MI. Mr. Richards was a 29 year veteran of GM, where he was manager of Product Delivery of Oldsmobile Division of GM and was a Marine Corporal Veteran of WWII. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, the Imperial Polk County Trap and Skeet Club, and the DAV. Mr. Richards is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Jois Richards of Lakeland; sons, Douglas E. (Rebecca) Richards of Auburndale and Mark R. (Jeanne) Richards of Appleton, WI; daughter, Theresa L. Richards of Lakeland; and six grandchildren, Riley, Walker, Richard Reece, Tyler, Coulson, and Katharine. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. at Lakeland Funeral Home, 2125 S. Bartow Road. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Good Shepherd Hospice, 105 Arneson Avenue, Auburndale, FL 33823. Online guestbook available at www.lakelandfuneralhome.com.
