Sarah Neveau Obituary

Sarah Elizabeth Neveau DeWitt Passed away May 15, 2010 at the age of 88. She was born November 27, 1921 in Meridian Twp. the daughter of Arthur and Lillian (Lyons) Cornell. She married Joseph Neveau, Jr. and he preceded her in death in 2007. Survivors include her children: Tanya (Waine) Huhn of DeWitt, Nancy Bouldin of Greenville, NC and Wayne (Marsha) Neveau of DeWitt; 6 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild. Mrs. Neveau worked for REO during WWII and also worked for Arbaugh's, Knapps and retired from the State of Michigan Secretary of State's office. She was a member of the Lansing 7th Day Adventist Church and enjoyed gardening, baking, knitting and sewing. She also had a love for small children and birds and cherished her home and her family. A memorial service to celebrate Sarah's life will take place on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 E. Washington, DeWitt at 3 p.m. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the time of service. Those desiring may make contributions to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 2133 University Park Drive, Suite 400, Okemos, MI 48864; the Alzheimer's Association, Capital Area Region, 5303 S. Cedar St., Building 1, Lansing, MI 48911; or to McClaren Hospice, 2316 S. Cedar, Suite 600, Lansing, MI 48910. The family would like to express their deep gratitude to the staff at Prestige Pines and McClaren Hospice for the kind and gentle care given to Sarah and her family.
