Terry L. Donaldson

Terry L. Donaldson Mears Terry L. (Champ) Donaldson, 72 also of Lady Lake, Fl, passed away August 22, 2010 at his residence. He was born December 29, 1937 in Lansing, MI to Lee F. and Mary Ann (McGuire) Donaldson. He married Marilyn Miller September 5, 1971 and she preceded him in death. He then married Karole Brown July 5, 1976. He served with the Michigan National Guard. Terry received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Michigan State University. He was a Senior Buyer in the Office of Purchasing for the Michigan Dept. of Management & Budget, retiring in 1997. His Keen Wit will be greatly missed. His interests were Hunting and Fishing, Midget Car Racing, Golfing and he had a Great love of the outdoors. He was a member of the Holton Gun and Bow Club, the National Bench Rest Shooters Association and was involved in competitive shooting. He was a member of the MSU Alumni Association of Lady Lake, FL. Terry is survived by his half-brother, Brian J. Koon of Lansing; half-sister, Lyn Donaldson Zyenda of Lansing; two step-brothers, DuWayne Watkins of Haslett, MI and Ted Watkins of Houston, TX; former wife and friend, Karole Brown Donaldson of Lansing and step-children, Clint VanNocker of Lansing and Leigh Anne Bratz of Haslett; three cousins, Jamie Vess of Albuquerque, NM, David (Amy) Smith of Okemos, MI and Marcia (George) Kerns of Hastings, FL. His beloved canine friend (Bogie). He was preceded in death by his father ,Lee F. Donaldson, Mother, Mary Ann McGuire Koon, step-mother, Marie Donaldson, half-brother, Patric Alan Koon and first wife, Marilyn (Miller) Donaldson. There will be a Memorial Celebration of Terry's life at a later date. In Terry's memory, please consider a donation to your local Humane Society.
