Dear Family,
I knew Vitula from Immanuel Baptist Church. We enjoyed dinner after church many Sundays.
She was the greatest friend you could have.
I haven't lived in Lansing for several years but we kept in touch.

Dear David, Darlene, and family, I miss her so much already so I can sort of imagine how much this great Christian lady, mom, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother is being missed by you who were closer to her. She was always the loving, funny aunt to us gals here in TN. I am reminded of the song which she sang to her beloved sister, Francis, when she was so sick: "You Are My Sunshine!" Let God's word and Tula's song comfort you. She is for certain a bright ray in God's eternal sunshine. I wish I could hug each of you there right now because I love you all. Jane (Jolley) Hargett

Dear Ones,
Sorry the timing was wrong for me to be there to support you. Know that I am thinking of you from CT.
I will always remember Vi for being that little lady with the endearing TN accent. She took care of Carly for me at our wedding, she was a wonderful seamstress and I remember fondly her coconut cake.
I am so glad she could spend her last month with you and not in some foster care situation. Vi knew she was loved by her children and her grand and great grandchildren.
To pass from this life to the next in a loved one's home and arms is what we all would be grateful for. God truely loved this Lady.

DAVID, DARLENE AND FAMILY, I AM SO SORRY TO HEAR OF TULA'S PASSING. I ALWAYS ADMIRED AND THOUGHT A LOT OF HER. SHE WAS A SPECIAL LADY WHO FACED LIFE WITH FAITH AND A WONDERFUL ATTITUDE. WE HAD SOME WONDERFUL TIMES TOGETHER AND SHE WILL BE MISSED. MY PRAYERS AND THOUGHTS ARE WITH YOU.

David, Darlene, and family: We have enjoyed having your mom visit us in Tennessee. She loved the fall colors on the trees. Whenever I see the most beautiful range of colors on a particular tree in the fall, I shall again remember your mom. We love you.

David and Darlene and family, Aunt Tula was a very special,loving lady. It was always a blessing to be around her. We had a good visit over the phone a couple of weeks ago and I'm so thankful for that. She's home at last.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all. You know you have my deepest sympathy that I give you with a sad heart myself.

David & Darlene and family...Our hearts are saddened by the passing of Aunt Tula. I know how much she means to my Mom (Josephine) and I'm thankful to have been able to know her. What a sweet smile she always had on her face. May you find peace and comfort in the Lord during this time and as you think of Aunt Tula. Blessings to all of you.
