The hole of emptiness still sits here reminding me of what you meant to me. Learning to live without you is hard but I promissed to take the controls and I will. Even though you did not have a son to carry on your Ellis name, I am pround to say that I am part of the Ellis clan. Britney has her Air Force Academy interview this Friday. If she chooses this route, she to will understand how much of an honor it is to share this history with you. We miss you greatly. We love you very much.

I felt great sadness upon hearing of the death of Walt. He was my father-in-law for 17 years and in that time I learned a great deal about what a truly great caring man he was. Walt will be eternally missed by everyone who ever met him and will leave an emptiness in those who never knew him. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Words can not express the sorrow we have in our hearts today. Time slips by so fast that we sometimes forget about the memories that we share...the family gatherings..the Christmases past. We will miss you Uncle Walt. May God bless and keep you.

"Permission to come aboard" this is the time when I wish your request was denined. I still needed to say so much to you. The greatest ship has left port without a simple hug or goodbye. I will never get a chance to express what you mean to me and this family. Steer the boat well. Stand tall and proud of what you have done down here. There is an Airman where you are headed. He has been there for a little while send him our love and tell him we miss him. I love you Grandpa. I guess it is my turn to take the con and stand the post for awhile. I will do my best, stand tall, and stand proud. Anchors Away.

Love
Michael
