Ward Edward Priesman

Ward Edward Priesman Bellevue Ward Edward Priesman, 87, died May 3, 2010. Mr. Priesman was born June 4, 1922 in Mulliken, MI the son of Fredrick and Lillian (Wagner) Priesman. Ward served in the Michigan National Guard before he was activated to the US Army in January 1941. He served in WWII Aleutian Islands campaign with the 119th Field Artillery. He was discharged as a Corporal from CO. B 1687th Engineering Battalion in 1945. He worked as a tool and die repairman for General Motors, retiring in 1978. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 2406 and a member of the American Legion Post 24 in Charlotte, MI. Ward was also a member of the Kalamo United Methodist Church. He enjoyed farming, hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, who he married on April 18, 1942, Kathryn Kelly Priesman; children, Pamela (Art) Groner of Bellevue, Patrick (Alice) Priesman of Vermontville, Paula (Winston) Pugh of Cornielus, NC and Penny (Mark) Pierce of Bellevue; sister, Patricia (Sam) Spagnuolo of Charlotte; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, his twin, Warren, Neal, John, Richard, Larry Priesman, Murel Mann; sisters, Ruth Earl and Betty Smith. Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 8, 2010 at Kalamo United Methodist Church, Kalamo, MI with Pastor Bryce Feighner officiating.
