Nadine,
I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of your father. Dave Welch informed us and Hampton (Fred) sent us this link. Unfortunately, the news came too late. Please know that you are in our thoughts and you have our support....would love to hear from you!

Dearest Nadine, Howard, Shasta, Maja, and Terrill. Time and circumstances do not even begin to change anything that learning of your father and mother's passings bring to me at 1:30 in the morning. I am left with an appropriate sadness and a great fondness for both of your parents, and for each and all of you and your extended families, as well as a great joy. Even in the best of circumstances life is not easy and can be a challenge, and this transition is a part of that. It has never been too easy for any of us, and recalling the laughter of your parents and the light in your Mother's eyes helps. They were both gifted and brilliant and I count is a deep personal Blessing to have known them both, and I count their passings into quietness from the quietness of these many recent years my loss. With Ruthless Loving, Gracious Compassion, and nearly Incomprehensible Tenderness, no matter what, your friend, (Fredrick) Hampton Bumgarner,
currently in Ohio writing for a few months...
