Brandon Mitchner Obituary
Brandon was born May 27, 1992, in Lansing, MI. On this day an angel was given to Steven Brian Mitchner Sr. and Shirley Faye Mitchner. He graced us with his love, laughter, humor, and positive attitude on life. Brandon, affectionately called Brandino, graduated from Grand Ledge High School in 2010. He was an entrepreneur and started his own clothing line in 2013. Brandon loved to work out and play basketball. The Lord called him home on June 29, 2014.
He leaves cherished memories to his family: father Steven Sr., mother Shirley, sisters Bianca (Wayne) Ramsey of Lansing, Brianna Mitchner of Los Angeles, and Rashawn Mitchner of Chicago, and brothers Steven Mitchner Jr. of Wilmington NC, and Rodney (Victoria) Mitchner II of Dallas TX, grandmother Rosa M. Winn of Detroit, nieces Nevaeh Lawson, Daiya Ramsey, and Rihanna Mitchner, nephews Philip Lawson Jr., Daven Ramsey, Rodney Mitchner III, Ryan Mitchner, and David Wright.
Brandon was preceded in death by his grandparents Albert J. Winn Sr. of Detroit, Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. and Gloria S. Mitchner Jr. of Lansing.
Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 5, 2014, at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, 5200 Pleasant Grove Road, Lansing MI. Family hour will be at 10 am to 11 am. Saturday at church. Friends may visit the guest book at www.tiffanyfuneralhome.com.

Our hearts go out to the entire Mitchner family. Brandon was one of those rare, sweet kids with a wry sense of humor and a twinkle in his eye. He and my son Connor were hoop buddies and ride-sharers at GLHS - and so very much more. Our family - especially Connor, Teddy and Coby - is rocked by your loss.

Mr. & Mrs. Mitchner, I am so sorry for your loss. I got to know Brandon from working with him for the last 9 months. He was the nicest young man. Always had a smile and a great attitude about life. He was really going places. I will always remember what he called his "Mitchner stare" that he would give me when I dropped stock for him to put away. Then he would just break out in a big grin. I will miss him a lot.

Steve and Shirley: I never got a chance to meet the two of you but I did meet your son. He was an amazingly, positive, friendly, motivated, respectful, family loving young man whom I had the pleasure of working with. He was truly one to be proud of. So very sorry for your loss. Brandon's smile and positive attitude were contagious. From memories paintballing and hanging out at the house, to going on spring break with our family are just some of the things I will remember fondly. I have worked with Brandon for about 10 months now at Menards and have gotten to know him. What a nice young man. He talked a lot about his family. He loved them so much.
