 84,  passed away Sunday, November 23, 2014 at the Laurels of Carson City after a month long struggle with his health.  He was born in Battle Creek, Michigan on May 16, 1930 the son of Lyle and Alice (Cook) Hogle.  He married M. Jean Maatsch on March 19, 1954 in Angola, IN.     

In Bob's younger years he was a Golden Gloves boxer.  He then helped train younger boys for the ring. He passed the love of boxing on to his children and Grandsons.

Bob was a builder of 6 houses at Rainbow Lake from 1969 forward.  Became involved with Shorthorn cattle in 1990, he and Jean were members of the American Shorthorn Association which they enjoyed together for many years.  Bob was a keeper of a beautiful manicured lawn and he loved to landscape.  He and his wife (Jean) always lived on the water or very near it at Rainbow Lake and Cape Coral, Florida.  He was also the president of Hogle Trucklines, Inc for the past 32 years.  He turned a small trucking company into a progressive local business that employs 18 full time positions.  His Children will carry on with his and Jean's dream.

Bob is survived by three Children, Mike and Sandi (Powers) Hogle, Vanessa and Greg Colley and Vikki Hogle.  He is survived by 7 Grand Children and 15 Great Grand Children.  An older sister Phyllis Joan Hogle Serviss of Lansing.

He was preceded in death by his wife M. Jean Hogle in 2008, his parents Lyle Hogle and Alice Cook Hogle Cosgrove.  And a brother James Hogle.

Funeral services for Bob will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at 4 pm at Dodge Funeral Home in Middleton, MI.  A private interment will follow in Payne Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 from 6-8 pm.  Everyone is invited to a dinner following the service at Fulton Township Hall.
