Bill Marion Obituary

Bill Marion LUBBOCK-Bill Marion, lifetime resident of Lubbock, Texas, son of the late J.B. and Leola Marion, was born Jan. 19, 1945, in Lubbock. He entered into rest on Dec. 13, 2012. Bill is the father of Heather Margaret Marion Reiner of Clarion, Pa., Robert Emil Marion of Junction, Texas, Jordan Baker Marion of Big Springs, Texas, and Amanda Thompson Wyse of Austin, Texas, and grandfather of Robert Todd Marion, Emily Rose Reiner, Courtney Alyson Reiner, Harrison Michael Reiner and Rachel Catherine Marion. Bill is also survived by two sisters, Shirley Marion Welch of Santa Fe, N.M., and Sybil Marion Hallmark of Telluride, Colo. Bill attended Lubbock High School and played for the Lubbock Westerners. He also attended South Plains College in Lubbock. Bill served overseas in Germany with the US Army. In 2008, he retired from the US Postal Service. Bill Marion was a beloved father, wonderful grandfather, and a cherished friend to all who knew him. Services will be held at a later date. I worked with Bill at Methodist/Covenant watching heart monitors. I was sorry to hear of his passing. God Bless his family and comfort them during this time of sorrow.

sorry to hear of Bill's passing. I met Bill in the 7th grade, and our friendship continued through graduation. he was a great football player and a good friend and classmate. great memories. loved his red chevy
