Jack Burk

Jack Burk Jack Hardy Burk, age 66, of Justiceburg, Texas passed away early Monday morning August 8. He was born to Mary Etta and Lub Burk on February 16, 1945 in Lubbock, Texas and grew up in Grassland and Tahoka. Both parents preceded him in death and beloved yellow dog. Those living who mourn his passing are his sons, TSgt. Ben Burk and wife Laurie of San Martine de Campagno, Italy and James Michael Burk and wife Mandi and their daughters Emma and Olivia of Westlake, Louisiana; his brother, friend and business partner, Mike Burk of Justiceburg Texas; former wife, Irene Vandever; former mother-in-law, Anna Vandever both of Lake Charles, Louisiana; also countless friends especially his two devoted care givers Ayn Bowron and Mark Hurst mourn his passing. Jack lived a colorful life, farmer, inventor, land developer and promoter of live music. If you just wanted to or had a need to laugh, a few minutes with Jack and he had you smiling. A memorial and celebration of life is planned Sunday August, 14, 2011, at 6 PM at the Roost in Justiceburg Texas.
