Wilma Jean Mankin

Wilma Jean Mankin LUBBOCK-Wilma Jean Mankin, 86, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2015, in Lubbock. She was born Nov. 14, 1928, in Bailey, Texas, to Doyal and Mina Daniels. She was married to JW Mankin for 60 years before his death in 2006. Wilma was a devoted wife and mother and dearly loved her grandchildren. She loved to read the Bible and tell Bible stories to her grandchildren. Wilma is survived by three sons, Larry Mankin and his wife, Wanda of Lubbock, Rick Mankin of Lubbock and Jimmy Mankin of Austin; two sisters, Pat Lawson and her husband, Jerold of Atlanta, Texas, and Carol Carter and her husband, Eddie of Plano, Texas; six grandchildren, Kori Haggard and husband, Ray of Lubbock, Todd Mankin and wife, Aubrie of Fort Worth, Ronny Smith of Dallas, Tommy Smith and Kim Smith both of Lubbock; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a grandson, Jeff Mankin. Visitation will be Sunday, March 15, 2015, from 3 to 5 p.m. in Resthaven Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 16, at 2 p.m. at Parkway Drive Church of Christ followed by burial in Resthaven Memorial Park.
