Wilna Joelene Casper

Wilna Joelene Casper, 65, of Zavalla, was born November 8, 1945 and died Thursday, January 13, 2011 at her residence. Mrs. Casper was a very outgoing person and cared about people. She had a heart of gold and loved her family and grandchildren. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Jennifer and Gary Horton of Diboll and Janie and Darrell Wonzer of Zavalla; sons, Timothy Casper of Beaumont and Randy Casper of Zavalla; granddaughters, Jessica Alberson and husband Christopher of Houston, Jeannie Ortiz and husband Joe of Nacogdoches and April Fowler and husband Joe of Lufkin; grandson, Rayburn Horton and wife Kelly of Diboll; great-granddaughter, Brianna Alberson of Houston; sisters, Lillian Thorn and husband Larry of Watauga, Violet Herrington of Hitchcock and Pauline Lee of Lufkin; and a number of other family members. Mrs. Casper was preceded in death by her parents, Nancy Jane (Hollis) and John Edward Lee; husband, Haskell Casper; son, Douglas Matthew Casper; brothers, Bobby J. Lee and Coe Lee; and sister, Shirley Poindexter. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Oakley-Metcalf Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
