David Christal Obituary

DAVID CHRISTAL Feb. 18, 1962 - May 6, 2010. David William Christal, 48, aka, Arthur Fonzarelli, of Las Vegas, passed away May 6, 2010, peacefully with his family by his side. He was born in Moline, Ill., Feb. 18, 1962, and moved to Las Vegas in 1993. He was preceded in death by his son, Austin; and brother, Don. David is survived by his loving wife, Audra Powell Christal; two sons, Jefferson David and William Cole; daughter, Lauren Taylor; parents, Jeff and Aynn; and brothers, Dean and Dan. His love for his family, friends and his passion for life were too large to measure. He lived every day to the fullest and had an unending sense of humor. David loved to make people laugh and could always cheer you up when you were down. He loved to spend countless hours watching movies with Audra, the kids and friends. He enjoyed attending sporting events, both professional and those played by his kids. David loved to attend the "Big Event" and enjoyed watching golf on TV and teeing it up on a sunny afternoon. With his faithful "Tiny" close by, David could often be found working on a real estate deal or guiding the family business. He was devoted to his family and friends, and always found the joy in life, which he shared with those around him. A memorial service will be at 5 p.m. Saturday, May 22, at the family residence in Southern Highlands, Las Vegas. There will also be a secondary memorial held in Moline; please contact family members for further details. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Christal Children's Memorial Fund at Account #750019093, Nevada State Bank, 10610 Southern Highlands Parkway, Las Vegas, NV 89141.

I am very sorry for your loss. David and I grew up together in Moline. I was shocked to hear this news! I haven't seen David for many many years, but I have fond memories of him from our childhood. God bless.

David - I miss you! I lost a friend. A family lost a father. A wife lost a husband. You brought joy and laughter to us all. Your memory will always remain a part of me forever. You were taken from us too early, but you'll always be with us in spirit.
