We valued our friendship with Ray very highly, as he always had a "half full" view of the world and was enthusiastic in all that he did. He was a valuable mentor for Dave when he led the Great Oaks board, and we will both think of him after every church service at our church in Florida, where we met for coffee. Our sympathy goes to the entire family, and we are each proud and thankful to have known Ray.

Ginny, You and Ray were such an important part of social gatherings at the Drinkard household and we were honored by your presence in our home, as well. Betty considered you an integral part of her life in Rochester and I was grateful to have been included in so many wonderful get-togethers with you and members of the "old gang". When Bob was in business for himself, we did much of our purchasing from Ray Electric and, still consider it the go-to vendor of fine products and services. I hope you and the kids will be soothed by the knowledge of how many lives you and Ray have touched and the memories of a long and lovely life together. Hugs to all from Bob and Ellen Doster.

Ray and I were cryosurgery for prostate cancer brothers. Always glad to see each other when we would meet and talk about that experience.

Our Dad worked closely with Ray for over 30 years at Ray Electric. Whenever he mentioned Ray, the words- fair, honest, and treats people well - would always follow. Ray was such a positive influence on our Dad and thus our whole family. His memory will always be with us.

Dearest Peter, Christine, Mrs.DeSteiger, Dave, Lisa, & Michelle:

When we have good fathers we are blessed. Our fathers become our family's "champion" and we learn from their leadership, mirror their principles and follow their example.

I knew your father was such a champion long before I met him, for I met his children first.

When I met your father, I was in awe of a great man!

When you miss your father look at each other and see him living in his children.

Lovingly,
Carole

Pete, we're thinking of you. I didn't know your Dad well but I do know him through the type of people his family is... the apple never falls very far from the tree and I know that's the case here. You always spoke very highly of him and the foundation he built in your family and organization. God bless you all through this difficult time.

Pete, Chris, David and Judy. I didn't have the opportunity to know your father, however, based on the legacy he leaves behind he was a very great man and leader. As I read his story, I could only think of how much it reminded me of you guys and your families. Family oriented, Employee oriented servant leaders, community minded. We are praying for God's healing comfort on the De Steiger families, the Ray Electric families and all in the community your father touched. His memory lives on through you all.
