Hue Tran Obituary

Hue Thi Tran
2/10/1959 - 12/1/2014
Warner Robins, Ga- Hue Tran ("Whitney" or "Way") found peace in Christ on December 1, 2014.
Hue was a dedicated Registered Nurse at Macon Northside Hospital, Houston Medical Center, and Coliseum Medical Center.
In 2010 Hue was diagnosed with cancer and moved with her niece to Houston, where she received treatment at MD Anderson. In 2014 she moved with her daughter to New York and continued care at Memorial Sloan-Kettering.
As a loving, devoted mother, Hue sacrificed tremendously for her children and taught them the value of hard work and compassion. In her own kindness, she saw to the needs of others before her own in her personal and professional life. She took comfort in the Lord's word and found blessings in everything and everyone. She was and remains an inspiration who is loved by many.
Hue is dearly remembered by her children, Tom-Vinh Tran of Macon, GA, Kathy May Tran (Silas Wang) of New York, NY; mother, Lien Pham of Pineville, LA; brothers, Binh Tran of Alexandria, LA, Binh Tran (Mai Nguyen) of Pineville, LA, Phuong Tran of New Orleans, LA, Phong Tran (Lang Tran) of Santa Clara, CA, Vu Tran of Pineville, LA, Cuong Tran (Tai Nguyen) of Vietnam; sister-in-law, Clare Tran of Alexandria, LA; sisters, Thin Tran (Dien Tran) of Alexandria, LA, Ngo Tran of Vietnam; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Nuoi Tran, and brother, Dan Tran.
Hue made an anatomic donation to science to NYU School of Medicine. She requested that we pray and do kind things for others whenever we think about her. View full memorial webpage at www.kathymaytran.com/huethitran.html

I met Way at HMC. She was truly dedicated to seeing her children succeed. Such a caring person.

I knew Hue first as "Whitney" when we worked together at the Medical Center in Macon. A tireless and dedicated worker, she was a wonderful person and shared with me her life story. I often wondered how she could be so positive and loving after all she had experienced, but soon learned that it was simply not in her to hold any resentment or negativity toward others. The world has lost a wonderful human being but heaven has gained a new angel. I hope to see her again someday on the other side. My condolences to her family. I am praying for all of you. She loved her children more than anything in the world.
