Amelia Whitlock Obituary
Jackson, GA- Amelia Spring Whitlock, age 9 of Jackson passed away Monday, January 16, 2017. She was born in Stockbridge, Georgia to Charlie and Mandy Whitlock. Amelia was a student at Rock Springs Elementary School, a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church in Stockbridge and was a player with the Ola Ice softball team. Amelia loved the outdoors
Amelia is survived by her parents; her brother, Charles "Charlie", Whitlock III of Jackson, GA; maternal grandparents, Wally and Frances Holden, of Warner Robins, GA; maternal grandparents, Paula (Wayne) Lawyer, of SC; paternal grandparents, Doris Whitlock, of Jackson, GA, Charles Whitlock Sr.; maternal great-grandmother, Bobbie Jean Holden of Perry, GA; aunt, Kim Whitlock; uncle, Garrett Chidress; aunt, Leah Lawyer; cousin, Jeremiah Whitlock; numerous extended family members.
A celebration of Amelia's life will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 21, 2017 in The West Chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors with Wally Holden "Pawpaw" officiating. The family has requested everyone dress in jeans and a softball/baseball jersey in honor of Amelia's love for sports and life. Interment will follow at Tanner's Baptist Church. The family will receive friends Friday, January 20, 2017 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Those who wish may sign the online guest registry at www.cannonclevelandfunerals.com.
