She had been employed at Robinson's Nursing Home for many years as a housekeeper. Betty enjoyed playing Beano, card games, talking and her friends.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Joseph Massey Sr.; her brother, Joseph Morse; and her sister, Diane Morse.
Betty is survived by her children, Mary Elizabeth Kittredge of Fayetteville, N.C., Joseph Massey Jr. of Augusta, Richard Massey and his companion, Cindy White, of Randolph, and Theodore Massey of Farmingdale and his companion, Roberta Henry, of Augusta; her two brothers, Theodore Morse of Bridgewater, Mass., and James Morse of Brocton, Mass.; two sisters, Beverly Foster of Brocton, Mass. and Mary Shuman of Brocton, Mass.; two stepbrothers; four stepsisters; four grandchildren: Trisha Morse, Shanna Weeks, Joshua Morse and Stormy Kittredge; and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday, April 16, at Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Ave., Gardiner, followed by a Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Burial will occur in the St. Joseph Cemetery beside her husband.
