She was born in Maynard, Mass., Dec. 24, 1924, the daughter of Angus and Florence (Smith) Hanson. She was educated in Maynard schools and married Burton Still on June 28, 1944. She and Burton moved to Maine in 1954 and Dot continued to live there for 57 years. Dorothy worked for many years at Winthrop Drug and then at the Winthrop School cafeteria until her retirement.
Mrs. Still loved to play card games, including cribbage. She enjoyed camping, playing BEANO and spending time with her grandchildren and her many friends. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, Burton in 1983; her parents; an infant daughter, Beverly; and three sisters.
She is survived by her daughters, Joanne Frost and her husband, Mark, of Farmington and Pamela Carr of Farmington; her grandchildren, Jeff Carr, of Farmington, Hannah Carr of Tampa, Fla., Jon Frost and his wife, Sonya, of Canaan, and Jodi Frost of Farmington; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 25, at the Maine Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, Civic Center Drive in Augusta.
In lieu of flowers, take a ride on a beautiful day, have an ice cream and remember Dot.
Dot's family would like to thank Winthrop Manor and Edgewood for the excellent care she received.

so sorry to hear about dot, she was a special lady even when she gave me a hard time about cheerios. i always had a good time sitting with her at
halloween and playing cribbage with her. and the stories she told....i will never forget her.
