Derrald was born Dec. 23, 1937, in Portland, to Alfred and Marie (Gray) Green. He attended Portland High School. After serving in the Army he was a truck driver for Harmon Trucking and Hutchins Trucking in Portland. He enjoyed traveling, and lived in Maine, Florida and Nevada. He also enjoyed doing landscaping and yard work, and an occasional trip to the casino.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Gayle (Humphrey). He is also survived by three sons, Daniel and Michael, and Bryan, whose frequent visits he really enjoyed.
In lieu of flowers, donations made be made in his memory to Harold Alfond Center for Cancer Care, Office of Philanthropy, P.O. Box 828, Waterville, ME 04903.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, at the Maine Veterans Memorial Center, Mount Vernon Road in Augusta.
Arrangements are by Direct Cremation of Maine in Belfast.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Gayle and the family. Even though we only knew Derrald for a few short years, we considered him our friend, and we are saddened by his passing, and we extend our sincere sympathy to his family.
