My Dear Friend, Joe.. You will be missed!
23 years ago, at an "after-party" you hosted for your Birthday, I was lucky enough to meet you and Jim.
After years of Monday Night Cards, M-W-F SoloFlex nights, Thanksgiving Dinners, many other (MAGNIFICENT) dinners, Sci-Fi movies, Star-Trek episodes and hours of laughter in New Hampshire, I followed you to Florida and continued sharing the joys of life as a Friend-of-Joseph-Real with you.
,
I find myself enriched in so many ways because I knew you. Your sense of humor, your natural gifts in the kitchen & garden and your selflessness will be missed and you will be thought of often. You will always be in my heart
As I meet your family and share with them the celebration of your life, again I realize how fortunate I was to have known you and be included in the group of Friends-of-Joseph-Real.

If tears could build a stairway
And memories were a lane,
I would walk right up to heaven
To bring you home again.
You were gone before we knew it,
And only God knows why.

Today I looked up at the sky and it was beautiful and I realized it is because you are there. Now you fly with the Angels my dear friend and some day I shall meet you there. Although for now we are apart I want you to know you have left your footprints on my heart. I will never forget the last moments we shared as God took you in his care. Why you chose me I do not undestand but I kept my promise to hold your hand. I will relive that moment forever more but I want you to remember I LOVE YOU MORE!

Those we love remain with us
For Love itself lives on.
And cherished memories never fade
Because a loved one's gone.
Those we love can never be
More than a thought apart,
For as long as there is memory,
They'll live on in the heart.
Those we love don't go away.
They walk beside us every day,
Unseen, unheard, but always near.
Still loved, still missed and very dear
Condolences and prayers to the family
