Ida Landry Obituary

FAIRFIELD -- Ida "Heidi" Landry, 55, died Jan. 21, 2011, at her home in Fairfield with her family and friends by her side. She was born Feb. 28, 1955, in Fairfield, the daughter of Francis and Florence (Trafton) Raymond.

Heidi worked at Gables Manor in Vassalboro for the last five years, where she was known as "Crazy Lady." She enjoyed riding with her husband on their trike. She also loved lawn sales, fishing, spending time with friends at bingo or just having coffee.

Heidi is survived by her husband, Roland, of Fairfield; son Scott Bickford and girlfriend Lisa Lee of Winslow; daughter Jamie Bickford of Fairfield; two stepdaughters Elizabeth Landry of Florida and Tina Frank and husband Reid of China; and a step-son, Skeeta Hutchins, of Fairfield Center; two brothers, Francis Raymond and wife Barbara of Skowhegan, and Donald Raymond and wife Loretta of Embden; eight grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; four step-great grandchildren; one very special granddaughter, Meka Steward, of Skowhegan; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Heidi had several close friend, April Flood, Edie Cook, Chet and Kathy Hanscom, Tina Mayberry, Marietta Field and Tammy Turner.

She was predeceased by her mother, Florence Raymond, formerly of Norridgewock; father Francis Raymond, formerly of Embden; and a stepdaughter, Brenda Meader, formerly of Oakland.

The family would like to thank Cynthia Salley, Kimberley Andrews and all the nurses and staff from hospice who contributed to her care, and to all her friends and family who contributed to the benefit supper that was held on Saturday. Heidi will be sadly missed by everyone.

In lieu of flowers, friends wishing may send donations in Heidi's memory to the American Cancer Society, New England Division, One Bowdoin Mill Island, Suite 300, Topsham, ME 04086-1240.

A celebration of life will be held Sunday, Jan. 30, 2011, at noon at the home of Ida L. Landry, 587 Norridgewock Road, Fairfield.

Arrangements under the direction and care of Dan & Scott's Cremation & Funeral Service, 445 Waterville Road, Skowhegan 04976.

Heidi was a very spirited being. She loved life and made friends easily,
i was married to her cousin Jim Zinkovitch and met Heidi at bingo years
after i divorced Jim. She was fun to talk with and liked to talk about the
family. Her dad Francis was one of my favorite people. I am so sorry for
her loss at such a young age. We will miss her smiles and laughter
