She was born in Augusta, Nov. 18, 1968. She graduated from Messalonskee High School and afterward attended the University of Maine in Augusta, working toward a degree to become a veterinarian. For the last several years, she worked as a personal care assistant.
She was an animal lover, to say the least. She spent most of her life rescuing them; whether they had paws, wings or whiskers, she would bring them home and doctor them up. And for the last 10 years, she rescued and raised English mastiffs; they absolutely meant the world to her.
She spent most of her life living in Sidney, with or near her grandparents. She was an athlete by nature and someone who loved to sing and dance. But most of all, her family loved her for always having a smile on her face and a laugh that was contagious.
Angela was predeceased by her mother, Darlene O'Clair; her grandfather, Philip Ouellette; her uncle, Mickey Ouellette; and two cousins, Shana and Justin Newcombe. Surviving are her grandmother, Faye Ouellette; sister Kim O'Clair; great-aunt Eula Barrows; uncle Rusty Ouellette; aunts Sandi and Betty Ouellette; cousins Chrystal, Betty Jo, Brian, Timmy, Allen, Nicholas, Julie and their families, all from surrounding areas; and her step-family from Oakland.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Angela's life: Visiting hours are 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, funeral service 1 p.m. Wednesday, both at Wheeler Funeral Home, Church Street, Oakland. Burial will follow the funeral at Reynolds Hill Cemetery in Sidney. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted at Wheeler Funeral Home to help defray expenses.

I had the pleasure of growing up next door to Angela and cherish the memories. I especially loved her laughter and firey spunk, she didn't have red hair for nothing! I remember her longing to be with her mother after she passed and now she is! My thoughts and prayers to the family. May you rest in peace Angela.
