Imelda Butler Obituary
She was born in Augusta on March 26, 1921, a daughter of the late Thomas and Clara (Bilodeau) Giroux.
Mrs. Butler was a communicant of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Augusta.
She had been employed by the State of Maine for several years and also by Bates Manufacturing - Edwards Division for more than 15 years.
Mrs. Butler was pre-deceased by her husband, James Butler, and two sons: Robert and Raymond Butler.
She is survived by a son, Richard G. Butler, and his wife, Patricia, of Richmond; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
At her request there will be no public visiting hours. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 17, at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Cemetery, Townsend Road, Augusta.
Those who desire may make donations in her memory to: Kennebec Valley Humane Society, Pet Haven Lane, Augusta, ME, 04330.
Arrangements are under the direction of Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta.

To the family of Imelda Butler: I am so very sorry for your loss. I have been taking care of Imelda for going on three years. She was a wonderful resident here at Gray Birch. I know I am not alone when saying she will surely be missed by all. God Bless you and your family. And God rest Imelda.
