Charles Ferer, 79
BIDDEFORD -- Charles Ferer, 79, of Framingham, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2011, after a long illness. He was the husband of Elaine (Lerman) Ferer (deceased) and lived in Framingham, Mass., for over 40 years.
Born in Boston, Mass., on Sept. 8, 1932, he lived in Brookline, Mass., before moving to Framingham, and worked as a dental technician in various laboratories around the Boston area as well as Stop & Shop and Market Basket supermarkets in the Framingham area.
Charles is survived by his two sisters, Helena Ferer and Prudence Tyler; and two daughters, Julie Dennehy of Medway, Mass., and Denise Hammond of Kennebunk. He was grandfather to six grandchildren, Owen, Isabella, Olivia, Elaina, Noah and Samuel.
His interests included stamp collecting, music, theater, and writing, and was an active member of Framingham's Jewish Workshop IV and the local chapter of the American Philatelic Society.
His funeral service will be held at 9 a.m. on Monday, May 30, 2011, at Mt. Sinai Cemetery on Hicks Street in Portland. Arrangements are handled by the Jewish Funeral Home of Portland.
