Jeffrey LeClaire, 58
LINCOLN, R.I. -- Jeffrey LeClaire, 58, of Rock Hill, S.C., and Lincoln, R.I., passed away unexpectedly on June 4, 2011.
Born on Nov. 5, 1952, in Worcester, Mass., he was the fourth child of David J. LeClaire and Doris E. LeClaire Allen. Jeff initially attended school in Upton, Mass., and upon the family's move to North Yarmouth in 1961 and subsequently to Chebeague Island in 1967, the Cumberland school system.

He loved riding his Harley, cooking up delicious foods in his kitchen or on his grill, planting flower gardens and trees on his property in South Carolina and sitting on his deck in the early morning, sipping coffee and watching all the varieties of birds that visited his feeders.
Jeff was predeceased by his parents; father, David J. LeClaire in December of 1973; step-father, Clayton H. Allen in August of 2004; and mother, Doris LeClaire Allen in November of 2005. Last night I dreamed about Jeff and the pranks he pulled when we were stationed together at US Coast Guard Kodiak. I just loved that guy. I never saw him when he wasn't happy and what a splendid job he did as a leader in the clinic there. I was truly teary to see the photos of him when I knew him and then later on in his life. Just that face. My love and condolences to Patty and the family. I know our Lord is having fun with him now.

Jeff, you taught me so much in just the three weeks we worked together. Thanks to you, I will never forget buccal is toward the cheek and lingual is toward the tongue! You gave me the chance to explore a industry I never could imagine being in. You made learning the dental field fun and exciting. May you rest in peace.

Jeff was a friend and a pleasure to know. The early 80’s, USCG Sta. Borinquen, Base Ramey, I will always remember him as the care free, Flip Flop, Bearded, Hawaiian shirt wearing die hard Bob Seger fan. Take care my old friend, it is time for that “Old time Rock N Roll”

Thank you for all of your messages of love and remembrance. It is still difficult to comprehend that one so full of life is gone. Please know that he had special memories and a special place in his heart for each of you. He is gone, but "What the heart has known, it will never forget." Jeff will live on in all of our hearts.
With much appreciation, Patty LeClaire

Jeff was so full of life and so much fun to debate with...no matter the subject. While working with Jeff, I could always count on a laugh, no matter how serious the topic. I will miss the bird photos on facebook, with the vision of Jeff sipping his coffee on the porch.

I remember Jeff fondly, as he was my first Jr. High boyfriend. It was a special treat when I bumped into him after high school and spent the evening at Cindy's apartment eating spinach lasagna. My sympathies to the family.

Remembering all the times from our childhood; the smiles, the laughter and the tears.
Life saw us going our separate ways, but at the end of the day, you were still my little brother. I will miss you.

I met Jeff and his new bride Patti 29 years ago on Kodiak Island, Alaska. I was also newly married to a "coastie", 5,000 miles from home, and on an island. Jeff and Patti became fast and true friends that has lasted thru many moves around the country. My memories of Jeff will always be full of fun and laughter. I celebrate his living life to the fullest and will miss him.
