Jessie Newman Obituary
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Jessie Newman was born on Nov. 18, 1926, in Parsonsfield, and passed to Heaven in Jacksonville, Fla., of lung cancer at 84 years young, on April 21, 2011.
Jessie is now with her Lord and Savior and joining her beloved husband of 36 years, Herman, who she first met when she was three days old. She also joined her deceased brothers, Harry and Hilliard; and her parents, Jesse and Christine Boothby.
Jessie is survived by her children, Cary and his wife Sabina, and Darlene and her husband John Bell; her four loving grandchildren; and four precious great- grandchildren. Jessie is also survived by her brother, Dan Boothby, her sister, Barbara Price; and dozens of nieces, nephews; and loving friends including Lillian McDonald who came to live with and care for Jessie through her final weeks on earth.
Jessie always believed that Jesus would take her into his loving arms and that she would be reunited with her devoted husband, Hermie.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 25, at 7 p.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at North Brevard Funeral Home in Titusville, Fla. Interment will be on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Brevard Memorial Park in Cocoa, Fla. Online condolences may be left at www.northbrevardfuneralhome.com.
It is her request that donations be made to the American Cancer
Society in lieu of flowers.

Jessie was an exceptionally remarkable lady. There are many things I could say about her because of our close relationship. She has left me with many memories to be cherished. I am blessed and honored to be one of her closest friends. My condolences to the family she loved so much.
