Richard Kerry Obituary
SACO -- Richard (Ricky) Kerry Jr., 34, of Saco, passed away unexpectedly at his home, on Friday, May 20, 2011.
He was born on July 21, 1976, in Biddeford, the son of Richard Kerry Sr. and Marjorie (Saucier) Kerry.
Rick graduated from Thornton Academy, class of 1994. During his high school years, Rick excelled in baseball, hockey, and football. He was the highest scorer in the state and went on to make the Allstate Football Team his senior year.
Rick furthered his education at Bridgeton Academy and Plymouth State College. Rick went into the family business for several years and most recently was employed at the Fallbrook Nursing Home.
Rick was a devoted son, brother, friend, and most importantly a loving uncle to nephews Brandon, Sean, and niece Abby.
Rick was predeceased by his mother, Marjorie (Saucier) Kerry. He will be eternally missed by his father, Richard Kerry Sr. and his step mother, Hanna; brothers, Timothy and Thomas Kerry of Saco, sisters, Theresa Pratt and her husband Daniel of Old Orchard Beach, Lee-Marie Brown and her husband Shawn of Saco; step siblings, Jennifer Pasteur of Denver, Colo., David Welch of Boca Raton, Fla., Maggie Welch of Biddeford; nephews, Brandon Kerry and Sean Pratt of Old Orchard Beach , niece, Abigail Brown of Saco; step nephews, Benjamin Hall and John (Mac) Pasteur, step niece, Isabella Hall; grandmother, Grace Kerry McNally of Saco; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Saco. Arrangements are by Cote Funeral Home, Saco. To send private condolences to the family go to www.cotefuneralhome.com.

Ricky was like a brother to myself and so many others. It’s hard to come to terms with the fact that we'll never see him again. The reality is that he will be sorely missed by all who loved and knew him.
Rick lived a good life, although it was far too short, and he will be long remembered by everyone.

I have some great memories from the high school days when we would get into all sorts of shenanigans. I particularly remember a moment in Sunday River history when we were illegally sledding the mountain afterhours on cafeteria trays. Mountain security chased us down and rounded us all up. They proceeded to drag us back to my parents condo to repremand all of us. The only one they didnt catch was Ricky and we had no idea where he was hiding out there in the woods. When we actually got back to the condo there was Ricky, snow gear off, watching t.v eating some chips with a look of pure innocence on his face like he had no idea what was going on as the security laced into us all.
Ricky was a character, funny and a good soul. Eventhough he is not with us his spirit lives within all of us.
He will be deeply missed and my thoughts are with the Kerry family.
