R. Keith Gill

R. Keith Gill Died suddenly on 08 September, 2012. Born in Derby CT, 07 February, 1967 he is survived by his longtime partner, Dr. Timothy G Wighton, of Philadelphia, PA., whom he married 09 July, 2009 in Provincetown MA. In addition, he is survived by his parents Ronald and Pricilla Gill of Chestertown New York, his sisters Barbara Hill and Jodi McKay both of Chestertown NY, as well as a large extended family and countless friends around the world who loved him dearly. Keith was a graduate of North Warren High School 1985, and went on to graduate from Oneonta State University 1991 and Boston University Brussels, Belgium in 2006. He began his career in Sales with WGY in Albany New York, later moving to Seattle Washington where he continued with CBS radio as a Marketing head for a group of Radio Stations in Seattle. Later, relocating to San Francisco, Keith became the Marketing Director of Kozmo.com; one of the first direct to consumer .Com businesses, "from the internet to your door in under one hour" was the famous slogan. In 2007, Keith began his work with Alphabiocom, a medical communications company supporting the Pharmaceutical Industry, where he eventually became the General Manager of the company. Moving was normal in Keith's life, from London, Albany, Seattle, San Francisco, and Bryn Mawr. In 2003, Keith moved with his partner to Brussels Belgium, where he took to living in Europe with ease and grace, making numerous friends from all across Europe, taking annual ski holiday's and summer trips to Ibiza for the beach, and the music. Whilst in Brussels, he pursued his graduate work in Business through the Boston University Campus in Brussels, graduating in with his Masters in 2006. Keith was a master Gardner, with a keen eye for design. He so loved his regular journeys to Burning Man in the Nevada Black Rock Desert. For all that new him, he will be remembered for that glorious big smile, his love of life, friends, family, his Labradors retrievers, and his partner. A private graveside service was held in Chestertown, NY on the 17 September 2012.
