Betty Ewing Obituary
MANSFIELD: Betty I. Ewing, age 71, resident of Mansfield died Saturday, September 22, 2012 in MedCentral/Mansfield Hospital.
Betty was born July 29, 1941 in New London, Ohio to James Robert Brown and Bonnie (Oney) Meyer. A homemaker, she was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, cooking, reading her bible and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Roy Ewing of Mansfield, whom she married October 7, 1977; her children, Jody Ewing of Shelby and Tonya Bittner of Mansfield; step children, Timothy Ewing of Cuyahoga Heights and Tammy Nedolast of Mansfield; grandchildren, Isaac Ewing, Jarod Bittner, Tyler Ewing, Jamie Cole, Cody Rider, Scottie Kempf and Alex Wallace; two great grandchildren; one brother, Garnett Brown of Glasgow, KY; three sisters, Ruby Neighbors and Della Gaskin of Bowling Green, KY and Martha Folmer of Keystone Heights, FL, nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, James Robert Brown, Jr. and Bobby Brown.
Funeral service will be held 10:30 AM Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at the First Free Will Baptist Church, 42 Jefferson Ave., Shelby. Reverend Herman Copley will officiate with interment in Mansfield Memorial Park. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 4-8 PM. Memorial expressions may be made to the family in care of Barkdull Funeral Home, P.O. Box 644, Shelby, OH 44875.
