Richard Perret Obituary
MANSFIELD: Richard A. Perret, 79, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at home, in his Mansfield residence.
The son of Adolph and Lydia (Minser) Perret, Richard was born July 14, 1935 in Canton. In 1953 he graduated from Timken High School and the following year began his service in the U.S. Army. Stationed in Japan, he was honorably discharged in 1956.
On September 3, 1955 Richard married Susan Klee.
Having a strong work ethic, Richard worked as an electrical engineer for the former Empire Detroit, AK Steel. Formally retiring after 38 years, Richard continued working as a consultant.
He enjoyed woodworking, auto racing, and was an avid Cleveland Browns fan. A loving husband and father, Richard's focus was his family.
Richard is survived by his wife of 59 years, Susan Perret of Mansfield; son and daughter-in-law Jeffrey and Kim Perret of Mansfield; daughter and son-in-law Stephanie and Michael Goff of Waikoloa, HI; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Fred (Jean) Klee of Canton.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 18, 2014 at 3pm in the Finefrock Chapel of the Marion Avenue Snyder Funeral Home, where friends may call the hour prior. The Rev. Dave Root will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of donor's choice.

I was sadden to hear the passing of Mr. Perret. My prayers are with you all. One thing you can always say about Mr. Perret is he enjoyed life. He was always passionate about what ever he was doing weather it was sailing watching a race or working around the house. Before I moved to Alaska I use to love listen to him talk about his life. His dry humer still puts a smile on my face. He will be missed.
