Bernadette Ann Kelleher Sep. 25, 1939-Oct. 10, 2012 A rich and full life ended October 10, 2012, as Bernie Kelleher, 73, died of complications from heart surgery. Loyal wife of Raymond Kelleher, proud Mom to sons Kevin (Kristine), and Brian (Michelle), and Nana to Lauren, Erin, and Rachel. Born to Caesar and Mary Esteves on September 25, 1939 in Niles, California, Bernie grew up in the east bay town of Rodeo. She graduated from St. Vincent's High School in Vallejo, and went on to earn her undergraduate degree from Dominican College of San Rafael. Later, Bernie earned a Master's Degree from the University of San Francisco. Bernie was a committed and enthusiastic teacher for over 40 years. Most of those years were spent teaching 3rd Grade at St. Isabella's School in San Rafael. A past president of ADK (Marin), Bernie was also on the Board of Directors of Timothy Murphy School, was active in the Marin Irish American Club, a member of the Marin Retired Teachers Association, and a Good Samaritan at St. Isabella's Church. She enjoyed travelling, shopping, and volunteering. Most of all, she loved her family, friends, colleagues, and classmates, and treasured the time she spent with everyone. She was an energetic, enthusiastic, vibrant, and giving woman, who will be sorely missed by many. Visitation and Rosary will be held on October 17, 2012, from 6-7:45 PM at the Church of St. Isabella, 1 Trinity Way, San Rafael. A funeral mass will be held October 18, 2012, at 10:30 AM, at St. Isabella's.
