CHARLOTTE JURS Obituary

Charlotte Jurs (1913-2010) Passed away on October 2 at her home, surrounded by her children. Born and married in PA, she moved to Berkeley in 1940 with her husband, Albert Jurs, Jr where they raised six children. Charlotte's volunteer efforts were numerous and lasted a lifetime. In 1965, they settled in Belvedere where Charlotte was named "Citizen Emeritus of 2004" by the City of Belvedere. Charlotte was predeceased by her husband in 1975 and by her daughter Shelley in 2004. She is survived by five children: Mike Jurs, Judy Cummings, Holly Mines, Carol Jurs and Robin Jurs. Donations in her memory can be made to Ploughshares Fund, KQED and Heifer Project International. A Celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
