GEORGE WICKHAM

George Wickham 1921 to 2010 Dear Dad, You left us Monday morning, October 25th, 2010 while asleep in your bed at home in Lake Wildwood, CA. Your strength, equanimity, and unfaltering love will remain with us forever to help guide and comfort us in our daily lives. We thank you for that. You have gone on to join our mother, Carolyne, who you have loved since your high school days in Mill Valley, CA. We know how long you have patiently waited for that reunion and we understand. You had a wonderful and full life with few regrets. Born in Fremont, Nebraska and later moving to California, you went on to become a naval pilot running reconnaissance out of Alaska during WWII, a graduate in civil engineering from UC Berkeley, working in construction and consulting jobs around the world surveying roads in Africa and building dams in Brazil, and being a councilman and later Mayor of Mill Valley. We are amazed how much you have done and accomplished over the years and yet still had time for your family and friends. We will be celebrating your life with gatherings in both Marin and Lake Wildwood over the next few weeks. Your loving children,Stephanie Wickham Witt, George Wickham Jr. (Wick) and Jim Wickham, and your nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren will be there. You have many friends that you have touched over the years and we thank them for their consolation and help. We will miss you Dad. We will miss your presence, your wit and insights, and especially that twinkle in your eye when you knew your guidance had given us strength and courage. Your loving children, Steph, Wick and Jim
