Dr. Keith Beery, I've been using your Beery VMI test for around 26 years, and your name has been around me during most of my psychology career. Today I appreciate your contribution to Psychology, especially education. It's a pleasure to write these lines at this moment, thank you.

Aloha to Keith's Family,
This is Gilbert Fooks from Waialua, Hawaii who worked with Keith when he came to Hawaii in the 1980's with his Respect for Self and Others materials. I was trying to contact the Respect Institute in San Rafael to get those materials and found the telephone number was no longer used for the Respect Institute. I then went on google and put his name and the Uni. of CA at SF and came up with his obituary dated Oct. 10,2010. Wow I just missed him! He was such an important influence in my career as an educator. Mrs. Berry -Iknow we met in Hawaii and you also met my wife Bessie who passed away two years ago so I know how much you will miss Keith. Please come back to Hawaii with any of your family and be my guests -call my cell phone 808-637-5427. Love and aloha from Waialua

My heart goes out to you, his family. I have only had the pleasure of hearing about and now reading something of the life of a lucky man who was able to contribute to his field, who lived to the fullest in the midst of a wonderful family. Love and sympathy.

Dear Mary Jo,
I just learned of Keith's passing and I want to express my sadness and support for you and your family. I was so touched by the brief time I spent with you and Keith and the time he and I were able to talk about our mutual work with children and adolescents. He was a wonderful man who left us too early.
Please know you are in my thoughts.
love,
audrey

To the Beery Family,
I had the pleasure of knowing Mr. Beery for quite a few years. He was one of my patients that I cared for since the mid 1990's. He always had a great smile on his face and I was always fortunate to get a big hug from him every time I saw him. Mr. Beery held a big place in my heart and will surely be missed by many. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Dearest Mary Jo and family.
How priviledged I feel to have shared some special times with him and you, Mary Jo, both professionally and in friendship. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Beautiful memories do sustain us in periods of grieving. I kinow that you, Mary Jo, and your loving family will cherish those special times past and present as you continue to love and live in a way that celebrates his life - and in a way that he would hope you could.
In love, Yvonne and Joe Hammerquist

I am so saddened to hear of Dr. Beery's passing. I had the honor of working with him on the publication of VMI Foundations for Arts, Academics and Athletics several years ago. My experience with him is something I will never forget---it was truly one of the highlights of my teaching career. My memories of his vast knowledge and his warm friendship will be with me always.
My sincere sympathy to all of you.
