STUART CREIGHTON MILLER

Stuart Creighton Miller Distinguished Historian and Teacher Stuart Creighton Miller, Professor Emeritus of Social Science, History, and International Relations at San Francisco State University died on September 16, 2010 at the age of eighty-three in Sausalito, California. At the end of a long illness that he endured with patient good humor, he was surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife Valerie Miller; by his daughter Sarah Fanny Cardozo, his grandsons Nathan and Noah Cardozo and their other mother, Linda Ruth Cardozo; by his son Isaac Miller and Isaac's partner Jyllian Gunther; by Naomi Miller, Stuart's first wife and mother of his children, who remained a dear friend to the end; and by the children of his beloved older sister, the late Olive Keeler, who was his earliest mentor and teacher. He has donated his body to the Willed Body Program at the University Of California School Of Medicine in San Francisco. A private memorial will be held at a later date.
