MARIE GRACE FLESSEL

Marie Grace (Marino) Flessel Passed away January 20, 2011 at the age of 96. Formerly of Huntington, Long Island, NY, Marie resided at the Redwoods in Mill Valley since 2000. Pre-deceased by Creig Flessel, her loving husband for 70 years, Marie is survived by her children Peter (Monica) Flessel, and Jane (Henry) Fernandes, and by six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Married in Brooklyn in 1937, Marie and Creig moved to Creig's hometown of Huntington in 1943. She loved the water and enjoyed living a short walk from the beach on Huntington Bay. She and Creig became avid campers and birdwatchers, twice tent-camping across the country, and once across Europe in a VW van. The family wishes to thank the wonderful Redwoods staff that supports the vibrant senior life in this community. Friends and family will gather for an ice-cream social reception on February 20th from 3:00-4:30 PM at the Redwoods, 40 Camino Alto.
