Paul Kanagy Obituary

Paul C. Kanagy

CHESTERVILLE: Paul C. Kanagy, age 88, of Chesterville, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday afternoon, December 20, 2011, at the Riverside Methodist Hospital following a brief illness.

For over 31 years, Paul worked as a maintenance technician for the Whirlpool Corporation in Marion, retiring in 1986.

A devoted and loving family man, Paul will be dearly missed by his wife of 62 years, Louella Kanagy; nine children: Gene (Kristi) Kanagy, Art (Pat) Kanagy, both of Chesterville, Ken Kanagy of Edison, Becky (Bob) Yoder of Hydro, OK, Bonnie (Carl) Parra of Lynchburg, VA, Carolyn Kanagy of Chesterville, Tim (Rosa Lee) Kanagy of Macon, MS, Jim (Karen) Kanagy of Mount Vernon, and Larry (Tammy) Kanagy of Rochester, IN; 34 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The Kanagy family will greet friends from 4 - 7 p.m. on Friday, December 23, 2011, at the Snyder Funeral Home, Craven Chapel, 67 N. Main St., Mount Gilead. Services celebrating his entrance into Heaven will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at the Gilead Mennonite Church, 7090 Co. Rd. 121, Chesterville, OH, with his grandson Pastor Sean Evans officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Chesterville.
