Richard N. Haycox

ZEPHYRHILLS, FL: Richard N. Haycox, 91, of Zephyrhills, Florida and formally Marion, Ohio passed away July 2nd 2015 after a short illness. He was at home surrounded by his family.

He leaves behind his six children, Jim Haycox (Janet), Vicky Lamb (Randy), Sue Sanders, Pam Dial (Steve) Rick Haycox and Tom Haycox; longtime companion Margaret Myher; 10 grandchildren, Steve Dial Jr., Jeremy Haycox, John Lamb, Adam Haycox, Jill Sanders, Jamie Dial, Michael Lamb, Scott Sanders, Brandon Parrish and Samantha Haycox and 14 great grandchildren; he also leaves a brother, James Haycox; his best friend of 84 years, Bill Honaker and over 30 nieces and nephews.

Richard was born and raised in Marion, Ohio, moving to Florida in 1980. He served in the US Army and was a decorated veteran of World War II, fighting in the Battle of the Bulge. He worked as a brakeman for the Erie Lackawanna Railroad for 25 years.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 30 years Jeanette Haycox; his sister, Ruth Berry and two brothers, Casey and Harold Haycox.

A private family gathering will be held.
